Pittorica
Pittorica is the poetry of the imagination, rhymes of graphic patterns and hues of colour put together in freedom and fun.
Designed by Studiopepe, Pittorica is a tile collection inspired by Joseph Albers’ theories of colour perception, reproducing the fascination of human perception in interior decoration. Colour, the true focus of Pittorica, induces the utmost freedom of compositional and artistic expression.
A collection of indoor floor and wall tiles made of rectified glazed stoneware, including fourteen matt colours in three categories – neutral, background and accent colours – and available in three different sizes. All Pittorica shapes and sizes, square 25x25cm – rectangular 6x25cm and triangular 25x25x35cm, with a thickness of 10mm – can be mixed and matched to permit complex, creative decorative schemes.
Pittorica is a vast series of porcelain tiles created in partnership with Studiopepe creative directors Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara di Pinto. Intense research by the two designers led to the creation of a collection composed of fourteen matt colours, divided into three categories – neutral, background and predominant colours – in three different mix and match formats – squares, triangles and strips.
