The performance of a tile is just as important as its aesthetics, particularly in public spaces and commercial buildings with high foot traffic.
Designers and architects who specify for public spaces and commercial buildings have become more interested in the importance of durable slip-resistant tiles.
The accelerated wear test is designed to provide consumers with an indication of how the slip resistance will change over long-term use. The test replicates foot traffic on the tile surface using abrasive materials and is tested at predetermined intervals for its rating. The test is done as a comparable exercise to find out which product has the greatest longevity.
We use the AWT as an efficient way of testing the quality, characteristics, and endurance of our products. In response to this growing interest, Classic is pleased to now offer it’s clients a number of products that achieve a minimum of P3 after 5000 cycles. These are; Blue.s, Lagoon and November.
