The accelerated wear test is designed to provide consumers with an indication of how the slip resistance will change over long-term use. The test replicates foot traffic on the tile surface using abrasive materials and is tested at predetermined intervals for its rating. The test is done as a comparable exercise to find out which product has the greatest longevity.
